Cara\u00edva is in an APA \u2013 Environmental Preservation Area, and it is therefore, subject to environmental preservation and protection standards.<\/p>\n

Being also a Marine Extractive Reserve Zone – Resex, Cara\u00edva fishermen need to respect laws that regulate the activity and establish times and ways of fishing.<\/p>\n

Garbage and sewage<\/h3>\n

A major concern is with waste and sewage. All houses in Caraiva have septic tanks and nothing is thrown into the river. Composting organic waste is also a common practice, as is recycling various materials.<\/p>\n

Cara\u00edva thus manages to remain in a different state from other Villas and tourist cities. Nature preserved, trash care and awareness of natives and visitors about the importance of preserving the place.<\/p>\n
